Perspiration stains on white shirts
- Soak shirts in water-vinegar solution overnight. In the morning, rinse shirts. Repeat procedure until you get a satisfactory results.
Permanent marker stains on shirts
- Spray marker stain with hairspray then rub stain with clean cloth rag. Repeat procedure until you get a satisfactory result.
- Leave a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol on stain for some time. By then, the stain should have been absorbed by the alcohol-soaked cotton ball.
Rust Stains on Sink
- Stainless steel or porcelain sink. Mix 1 cup borax and 1/2 cup lemon juice. Put some paste on a cloth or sponge and rub it on stain. Rinse with running warm water.
Food stains on aluminum pans
- Pour water-and-baking soda solution on stain. Leave for some time, depending on the degree of stain. For stubborn stains, leave the same solution overnight. Rinse pan with hot water. Scrape off remaining particles with steel wool pad.
Crayon marks on walls
- Rub marks gently with damp cloth sprinkled with baking soda.
Dirt smudges on wallpaper
- Got soft white bread? Rub them on smudges. The fresher the smudges, the easier they are to remove.
